In the media: Distinguished alumna shapes education behind Sesame Street

Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Taking a chance on a university she had never visited in a state she knew nothing about paid off for Rosemarie Truglio.

She is the senior vice president of education and research at Sesame Workshop, the organization behind the research and education of "Sesame Street" and other children's media. She got her start in child development during her time at the University of Kansas.

Truglio attended KU for her masters and doctoral degrees. She has been named a 2013 Distinguished Alumni of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Read the Lawrence Journal World profile on Truglio and her journey from New Jersey to Kansas to New York and Sesame Street.
