Thursday, January 29, 2015

Chris Brown, associate professor and director of the environment studies program was selected for a 2015-16 Fulbright U.S. scholar grant to Brazil. The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

The Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at KU in partnership with the Lawrence Sertoma Club, received a grant from the Bill Self's Assists Foundation to support its Communication Camp in summer 2015. Jane Wegner, clinical professor and director of the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing, crafted the grant application. The Communication Camp brings together children and youth with and without communication disorders to explore their world and improve their communication skills while participating in camp activities. The Camp is staffed by students and faculty from the Schiefelbusch Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic and is held at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
