Interview with American Studies professor on the cultural significance of lowriders

Ben Chappell, assistant professor of American Studies at the University of Kansas, wrote a book on the automotive subculture of lowriders in America. A recent interview with Chappell highlighted his work that argues lowriders are not merely cars, but symbols of culture and identity that challenge and redefine the way contemporary urban space is defined.
