Biography

Growing up in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the diversity of options KU offered through the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences brought Zoe to KU. She was always intrigued by the complexity of living organisms and how they interact with one another. After completing her exchange in France, she also grew to love the French language and culture. Currently, Zoe is involved in research on soil microbial ecology at the Kansas Biological Survey, and is also working on her French Honors thesis with a particular interest in medieval studies. Zoe is also actively involved in the KU Honors Program, Student Access Centre and is also a TRIO Peer Tutor. In the near future, she hopes to utilize her skills in Biochemistry and French by pursuing scientific research in a Francophone country.
