Jessica Beeson is the Director of Research Development and Engagement for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences. She is responsible for the creation, supervision and execution of initiatives to enhance research productivity and increase research engagement for the college.  Working with the KU Center for Research, KU Innovation and Collaboration, department chairs, and associate deans, she supports faculty research, develops supports and incentives to increase faculty research productivity and oversees the college-wide approach for engaged scholarship and corporate partnerships. 

Prior to holding this position, she was the Director of Alumni and Community Relations for the College. Jessica is also periodically teaches for the Leadership Studies Minor, KU Honors and the African & African-American Studies Department.  She has a BA in Religious Studies from KU and an MA in Near Eastern Studies from the University of Arizona.
