Nidia Lazos

Nidia decided to come to KU because it offered many research opportunities as well as multiple science majors and minors to explore. The campus made Nidia feel at home and she saw herself building a community at KU. She chose to major in Environmental Studies due to her passion for learning about how the earth works and finding different ways to conserve native species. Nidia has gotten involved at KU through TRIO, the KU Beekeeping Club and Student Gardeners.
